PTSD
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms can be addressed through transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) targeting the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC). Research indicates that stimulating the right DLPFC, particularly with low-frequency repetitive TMS (rTMS), yields significant therapeutic effects. Additionally, some studies have reported benefits from stimulating the left DLPFC in individuals with PTSD. A systematic review and network meta-analysis concluded that rTMS interventions targeting the right DLPFC, both low-frequency and high-frequency stimulation, improved PTSD symptoms relative to sham treatments.
